Tokyo Triangle Quilt
I have decided to undertake another long term quilt project. I should be quilting and finishing up what I have already started but I couldn't resist. Plus, this is a quilt that can be worked on a little at a time over the course of several months. Here are 86 flying geese that will eventually end up in a quilt like this.
I am going to try to make 40 of these units a week until I am done. That sounds like a lot, but I already have about 60 more squares cut that will make 4 units each. So I can realisitically make 8 in about fifteen minutes. (Do you hear me justifying this craziness?) I am using this tutorial to make them. I learned about this whole project from crazymomquilts.

omg, it is going to be gorgeous. The sample one your inspired be is insanely beautiful
WOW! How very beautiful. I love the colors! How do you do it, staying on top of all these blocks? I'm in awe. Creative passion is a wonderful thing.
I like the colors against the white--very cheerful. Are you going to do some of the stretched geese, too?
I'm too impatient to take on long-term projects! I love watching yours :) Your flying geese are amazing! Have fun
I love flying geese quilts - they are so much fun. Yours looks gorgeous so far - great colors!
Thanks everyone! I am very excited about how it will turn out. I am definitely going to make some stretched geese too because they remind me of trees.:)
I want to do a long term project but one not so long term as my postage stamp quilt. That wont even be sewn for another 100 years I think. This looks easy enough but beautiful.
good for you taking on this project! beautiful. my flying geese are always so wonky...yours look perfect!
Audrey, How would you go about making the stretched geese?
I love the colors you are using. It is going to be a lovely quilt. I think quilting is much more about enjoying the process than actually finishing the quilt. So what's one more project among quilters?
Oh, wow! This is going to be gorgeous! I love the colors.
