Around Colorado

This past weekend our friend Phillip was in town so we took him around some neat places in Colorado. The weather was overcast on Saturday, but we were able to get some pictures anyway. Here are a few of the places we visited:
Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, CO

Outside Denver Art Museum

Downtown Denver near the Art Museum and Denver Public Library

Denver Art Museum

Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park
(Still snow on the ground!)

Rocky Mountain National Park

Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Morrison, CO

It was a fun weekend!

Back in the early 90s, when I first started doing workers' comp case management, one of the vendors was a brain injury rehab program based in Denver (we lived in Albuquerque). I mentioned that I loved Stephen King books, and they arranged for us to have dinner at the Stanley Hotel. I was in "Shining" heaven! Besides it just being a lovely place!

Audrey, nice pictures! I was driving past the art museum on Saturday, we probably passed each other! I actually tried to get a picture of it as we were driving by, but it didn't turn out as well as yours. I love Red Rocks; we saw No Doubt there with Weezer and it rained the whole four hours. Best concert I ever saw!

Love the pictures of Rocky Mountain National Park and the ELK! Todd goes out to Meeker CO every couple years to hunt elk - we always say one of these years coming up we need to drive out there for a week and stay at the ranch where he hunts - he loves it out there!!! So pretty.
