Tokyo Triangle Quilt


I have decided to undertake another long term quilt project. I should be quilting and finishing up what I have already started but I couldn't resist. Plus, this is a quilt that can be worked on a little at a time over the course of several months. Here are 86 flying geese that will eventually end up in a quilt like this.

I am going to try to make 40 of these units a week until I am done. That sounds like a lot, but I already have about 60 more squares cut that will make 4 units each. So I can realisitically make 8 in about fifteen minutes. (Do you hear me justifying this craziness?) I am using this tutorial to make them. I learned about this whole project from crazymomquilts.

    The colors are gorgeous - I've been thinking about this one....guess I really ought to think some more...

    I like the colors against the white--very cheerful. Are you going to do some of the stretched geese, too?

    I want to do a long term project but one not so long term as my postage stamp quilt. That wont even be sewn for another 100 years I think. This looks easy enough but beautiful.

    I love the colors you are using. It is going to be a lovely quilt. I think quilting is much more about enjoying the process than actually finishing the quilt. So what's one more project among quilters?
